Huli Pudi is a spice mix. Huli (ಹುಲಿ) is a thick soup of lentil with or without vegetables in it. It is served with steamed white rice. It is a popular dish in South India.
Ingredients:
- 1/4 kg dhania seeds
- 1/4 kg dry red chillies( byadgi chillies)
- 50 grams jeera seeds
- 25 grams mustard seeds
- 1.25 inches long cinnamon stick
- 1 tsp methi seeds
- 10 whole black pepper seeds
- 10 grams kal hua(rock flower)
- 15 marath maggi
- 5 bay leaves
- 50 grams channa dal
- 50 grams urad dal
- 1/2 wati dry coconut
- Hing very little
- 5 stix curry leaves
Method:
Dry roast separately all the ingredients and dry grind it in the grinder. This should be good for 2 months in a air tight container.
