Huli Pudi

Huli Pudi is a spice mix. Huli (ಹುಲಿ) is a thick soup of lentil with or without vegetables in it. It is served with steamed white rice. It is a popular dish in South India.

Ingredients:
  • 1/4 kg dhania seeds
  • 1/4 kg dry red chillies( byadgi chillies)
  • 50 grams jeera seeds
  • 25 grams mustard seeds
  • 1.25 inches long cinnamon stick
  • 1 tsp methi seeds
  • 10 whole black pepper seeds
  • 10 grams kal hua(rock flower)
  • 15 marath maggi
  • 5 bay leaves
  • 50 grams channa dal
  • 50 grams urad dal
  • 1/2 wati dry coconut
  • Hing very little
  • 5 stix curry leaves


Method:

Dry roast separately all the ingredients and dry grind it in the grinder. This should be good for 2 months in a air tight container.
