Sarin Pudi

Sarin Pudi is a spice mix which is used to prepare ಸಾರು (lentil soup). This dish is prepared mostly in south India.

Ingredients:

  • 11/4 kg dhania seeds
  • 100 grams jeer seeds
  • 800 grams mustard seeds
  • 1/4 kg dry red chillies (byadgi red chilles)
  • 1tsp black pepper
  • 1tsp methi seeds
  • 25 grams khas khas
  • Hing as per taste
  • Kadi patta 12 leaves

Method:

Dry roast all the ingredients independently and keep it aside. Grind all the dry roasted
Ingredients in a grinder (dry.) This mixture should stay good for 1 year in refregerator in a airtight container.
