Sarin Pudi is a spice mix which is used to prepare ಸಾರು (lentil soup). This dish is prepared mostly in south India.
Ingredients:
- 11/4 kg dhania seeds
- 100 grams jeer seeds
- 800 grams mustard seeds
- 1/4 kg dry red chillies (byadgi red chilles)
- 1tsp black pepper
- 1tsp methi seeds
- 25 grams khas khas
- Hing as per taste
- Kadi patta 12 leaves
Method:
Dry roast all the ingredients independently and keep it aside. Grind all the dry roasted
Ingredients in a grinder (dry.) This mixture should stay good for 1 year in refregerator in a airtight container.
